EA$Y x UTAH JAZZ

The Utah Jazz asked us to make something special for them during the NBA Playoffs with the theme #wearewithyou. We took it as an opportunity to echo the voices of the players with their calls for justice and change in the world and the fight against racism.

The custom jacket is hand dyed using salt that is mined in Utah to fuse the color, so that the jacket has actual elements of Utah's land in it. The textile work on the back panels uses recycled Jazz jerseys from a local thrift shop.

The Screen print down right sleeve shows every player's number with Pantone 137 C, the same Gold color the Jazz use. On the left sleeve is a stenciled spray paint print of the mountains. The front features every phrase the players use on their jerseys in hand painted typography, along with the back which says 'WE ARE WITH YOU.'

We view fashion as a form of expression, another way to communicate a message, our personalities and interests. It’s been an honor for us to create a one of one piece that expresses our support for our home team and as a statement that unifies and amplifies the voices of each individual player’s call to end systemic racism and promote social justice.
